I decided yesterday that I was going to juice for 10 days. I’ve done a 3 day juicing cleanse from BluePrint Cleanse and I feel like if I can do that, 10 days is possibly achievable. Yesterday I managed to just drink water..with a few of my daughters Goldfish crackers..haha. And today I’m planing on starting out with a carrot/apple/kale/(maybe)lemon juice. Main reason for this sudden desire to juice- I’ve been eating horribly since my daughters birthday, which was over a month ago and I’ve also been drinking way more alcohol than I’d like to. (socially of course) Losing weight is another reason I feel the urge to do this. I only had ten more pounds to go before I reached my pre-pregnancy weight and now I’m probably back to needing to lose 25. :/ WISH ME LUCK!

The Informed Vegan: Tests Show Milk Contains 20 Different Drugs.

Using a state-of-the-art test, scientists revealed that a single glass of milk contains 20 different drugs including painkillers, hormones, anti-fungals, and antibiotics. The dosages are so tiny that they are said to be harmless but the idea of pouring pills on your morning cereal is not too exciting.

Medicine filled milk is an unfortunate sign of the times. Animals on factory farms are fed 35 million pounds of antibiotics every year. People are throwing their prescription pills down toilets and into landfills where they dissolve and enter the water supply only to be absorbed by fish or drank by the animals we eat. It was even found recently that fish are being poisoned by Prozac in the water supply, damaging their normal brain function.

Whether you drink milk or not, it’s easy to look at these facts and say that more should be done to reduce or eliminate the amount of drugs given to animals on factory farms. There’s no reason we should be eating food that takes more drugs than we do.

The death toll as of 05/23/2011 is 116 and recovery efforts are in full force. We wanted to join in since we are a Missouri based company and have created this shirt. All proceeds will be donated to the recovery efforts to help all of those who have lost their homes, family members and everything they own.
